Do you have goals for 2018? It’s that time of year again – the start of a New Year and the time that most everyone is talking about goals and resolutions. I’m a goal-setting kinda girl, but I don’t save the fun stuff for the New Year only. I do it year-round. This has given me the experience to learn a thing or two about how to be successful with your goals.
No matter what your goals – business or personal, love life, or to break a bad habit, you will have a better chance of achieving them if you devote some time to decluttering.
Seriously, it’s such a wonderful, refreshing feeling to get rid of the old as you try to bring in the new.
Out with the OLD and in with the NEW!
You are opening yourself up to receiving. You are showing the Universe you are READY to smash your goals!
Late 2017, I was decluttering like a madwoman – my closet, my garage, my kitchen, even my purse… but I missed something important:
My digital life.
Oh boy! I was in for a giant of a project there. My computer files – 3 external hard drives – bookmarks I’ve saved for years, Evernote, articles I plan to read “someday”, emails (Oh, the emails!), and even domains I am not using.
So I’ve been decluttering every day of this New Year and I came to a big one today.
My Facebook groups.
There are some groups I don’t even remember asking to be added to (also, don’t add people to random groups – it’s RUDE). There are groups I no longer need, or that no longer line up with my future goals for my life.
There are some that bring nothing but negativity.
There are some that simply aren’t active anymore.
So, it’s time to clean up. That’s my mission for today. Whittle down my groups by asking: “Does this serve my goals, or bring me joy?”
If not, out it goes!

It’s actually a really great feeling.
